Your Three Words

Quinny had her 4 month check up yesterday and our baby continues to be of the long and skinny kind :) Just like her daddy. She did so good (again), and I always end up worrying for no reason. She was asleep for the first part and she was more upset that we woke her up, undressed her and put her on the scale than she was of the shots! The doctor said she looked great, and was impressed with how social she was and how she was so interested in everything. We also discussed sleep training and starting solids. Seriously, when did my baby become old enough for all of this?! She said we should start with rice cereal at 5 months and see how she does with that. As far as the sleep training, Anth and I were both prepared to hear the "Let her figure it out" talk, but being that neither one of us has ever let her cry more than a minute, its an understatement to say it's going to be hard for us. She said we shouldn't be going into her room at night and putting the pacifier back in, etc. It's a good time to see how she does. She also said we could try and see how she does by herself when she wakes up for her usual middle of the night feeding. I think I'll start with the fussing, then I will work my way into getting rid of the feeding. Last night I decided I was going to try my hardest and not get out of bed as soon as I heard a whine from her. So I decided to have a glass of wine and see how I did. Well the kid is a doll. She was a little fussy and and what do you know? Soothed herself right to sleep. I swear, we have an angel baby :) Here are some stats and what QT is up to these days:

Weight: 13 pounds, 7 ounces
Height: 25 inches
Clothes: Outgrowing 3 months :( so we are starting to fit into 6 months. Pants are still loose at her little waist!
Rolling Over: Both ways!
Grabbing: Everything and putting it in her mouth
Talking: Like her mama- nonstop
Sleeping: This week has been wonderful. Still getting up once to eat.
Napping: Like a champ. She is going on two hours right now :)
New Fave: Reading with daddy. Melts mama's heart

  4. She is so cute! It's hard not to jump & every cry or fussy sound they make at night but it sounds like you do a good job. Hang in there! Bless her little heart for soothing herself back to sleep, sounds like she's got it!

    Have a great weekend! :)
