Your Three Words | It's Party Time!

Tomorrow is our little nugget's 1st birthday party! I can't believe the day is so close. We have been spending every free second (and I mean every second) trying to get this house together. The other night as Anth was hanging the curtains in our dining room, I was cooking dinner/cutting Quinn's banner/chasing after Quinn/blowing up balloons all at the same time. Literally. We are exhausted. Beyond exhausted. But I think we are both determined to get as much done as we can before Saturday. I am debating sending Quinn to my mom's on Sunday night so that Anth and I can have some free time to do absolutely nothing. But she is too darn cute to give up most days, no matter how tired we are so we will see if that actually happens.

I made a decision that because there was so much stuff to get done this week, I wasn't going to clean. At all. Now this may not be a big deal in a normal household, but we also live with this:

His name is Trigger, but he is also known as "the dog who should be bald because of all the hair that he sheds throughout the day". I seriously don't know how this dog has any hair still left on his body.

Just to give you an idea, this is what our house looked like this morning. Shameful and beyond embarrassing.

Our Dining Room aka "Party Central". Poor penguin.

It dawned on me about 2 days ago that this is the room that people need
to go through in order to get to the pool. Oops.

Painting window trim sucks.

Train wreck. At least Trigger makes it a little cuter. No?

Hard to see but this is how Trigger's hair seems to end up all over our floor. This is mild.

No words.

Keeping our house clean is very difficult, and truth be told, I am very lazy. I usually try to do a massive cleaning on the weekend so the fact that I skipped last weekend means that we are pretty much living in a house covered in dog hair, baby food and dirt. Not pretty. Thank goodness we get to leave early today and our awesome friends Colleen and Jason are coming over to help with some last minute stuff. It's going to be a long night!
