Eye-hole.

Kind of sounds like a-hole with some kind of accent. Anywho. I went to the eye doctor's a few weeks ago to get new contacts and glasses becuase I still had $500 of flex spending to use before the year was up and since it has been about 6 years since I have gotten new glasses, I thought perfect! I will be in and out in an hour.

Turns out, not so much. The doctor discovered a tear in my retina, which I learned is common in near-sighted people because our eyes are all wonky shaped (medical term). He told me that I would probably need a procedure which I cannot for the life of me remember the name of, but it involved shooting little lasers around the tear and basically welding around it so no fluid or anything can get in to cause a detached retina. So I went in today petrified out of my mind because I was about to have a laser shot into my eye.

See those sad puppy dog eyes? I was more upset that I couldn't wear make up to be quite honest with you.

In all honesty it wasn't that bad. I HATE having my eyes dilated. And numbing drops are just as bad. The laser thingy sucked, but it wasn't painful. I was hoping when I asked him if I should stay home from work today he would say "Yes!" Go home and go to sleep until tomorrow and you will feel 100% by tomorrow!" No such luck. I am sitting here at work with a headache and an eye that feels like it's got sand in it.

But I still have my vision! Cue happy face!

  2. Oh no! Eyes freak me out, so I would hate that. I want to get Lasix, but it terrifies me. I hope you're back to 100% soon
